(ORAL) This petition has been filed by the petitioners under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of directions to respondents No. 2 and 3 to protect their life and liberty from the hands of private respondents. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that both the petitioners want to marry each other but the family members of petitioner No. 1 are against their marriage. He further submits that both the petitioners have been living together in live-in relationship and facing threat from the family members of petitioner No. 1 and in this regard, they have also moved a representation dated 2.12.2019 (Annexure P-3) to Superintendent of Police, Hisar-respondent No. 2.

Without entering upon an exercise to evaluate the evidentiary value of the documents placed on the file, I dispose of the petition with directions to respondent No. 2 to decide the representation of the petitioners, Annexure P-3 and grant them protection, if any threat to their GURPREET SINGH 2019.12.03 16:21 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document chandigarh
