(Oral) Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner has already served the sentence of 1 year awarded by the Courts while convicting him for offence punishable under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act. The said fact stands corroborated by the custody certificate produced by the State counsel. Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that petitioner does not wish to challenge his conviction, therefore, this petition has become infructuous and it be disposed of accordingly. In view of above, the present petition is dismissed as having been rendered infructuous.
