The present contempt petition has been filed for deliberate and intentional disobedience of order dated 25.03.2025 passed by this Court in CWP-8251-2025, whereby the writ petition was disposed of with a direction to respondent No.1 to decide the legal notice dated 18.11.2024 of the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the respondents submits that order dated 25.03.2025 passed by this Court in CWP-8251-2025 has been complied with and all the payments due towards retiral benefits, as claimed by the petitioner in the writ petition, have been paid to him on 19.09.2025. He has produced a copy of order dated 05.01.2026 passed by the Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Amritsar, before this Court, which is taken on VIRENDRA SINGH ADHIKARI 2026.01.13 10:25 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

COCP-4740-2025 (O&M) -2record. A copy of the said order is also supplied to learned counsel for the petitioner.

In view of the above, since order dated 25.03.2025 passed by this Court in CWP-8251-2025, has been complied with, therefore, the present contempt is purged and rule stands discharged. 4.

Needless to say that the petitioner is at liberty to avail remedy as is available to him in accordance with law to challenge the order dated 05.01.2026 passed by the Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Amritsar. 5.
