Today, at the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that he restricts his prayer to issuance of a direction to respondent No.4 - Senior Superintendent of Police, Ferozepur to protect lives and liberty of the petitioner as well as of other members of the house, who are residing with the petitioner in his house particularly mother of the petitioner as well as his uncle Hardeep Singh, as they apprehend threat to the same at the hands of the private respondents. It has been submitted that although he had submitted a representation dated 8.10.2024 (Annexure P-5) to respondent No.4 - Senior Superintendent of Police, Ferozepur, but to no avail. 2.

Having heard learned counsel for the petitioner, but without commenting anything as regards merits of the case or as regards veracity of averments made in the petition, the instant petition is disposed off with a direction to respondent No.4 - Senior Superintendent of Police, Ferozepur to look into Pankaj Kakkar 2024.11.05 15:29 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

CRM-M-54491-2024 (O&M) ( 2 ) the matter and to get the representation dated 8.10.2024 (Annexure P-5) examined to the limited extent of alleged threat perception of the petitioner and of any other member of his immediate family residing alongwith him including his uncle Hardeep Singh. In case, it is found that there is any gunine threat to the life and liberty of the petitioner and of any other member of his immediate family, then necessary steps as may be warranted under law be taken thereupon at the earliest so as to ensure that no harm is caused to the petitioner or to members of his immediate family in any manner. 3.

A copy of this order alongwith copy of representation dated 8.10.2024 (Annexure P-5) be sent to respondent No.4 - Senior Superintendent of Police, Ferozepur for necessary compliance.
