There is no representation on behalf of the petitioners today. This petition has been filed for quashing of FIR No.86 dated 24.07.2019, under Sections 323, 324, 148 and 149 IPC and Sections 25 and 27 of the Arms Act, registered at Police Station Division No.1, District Jalandhar Commissionerate, along with all the subsequent proceedings arising therefrom, on the basis of compromise dated 19.10.2019 (Annexure P-2), arrived at between the parties. At this stage, learned State counsel, on the instructions from SI Rakesh Kumar, has pointed out that there are total ten accused in the present case, out of whom, six are on bail, three are in custody and one, namely, Barinder Singh, has been declared as a proclaimed offender on 13.03.2020.

CRM-M-52117-2019 (O&M) -2Since, one of the accused has already been declared as proclaimed offender, no ground is made out to quash the FIR on the basis of the compromise.
