Dated Police Station Sections 20.09.2016 Vigilance Bureau, Patiala, District Patiala 13(i) (d), 13(ii) of the Prevention of Corruption Act (for short, "the PC Act") and Sections 409, 420, 467, 468, 471, 120-B IPC 1.
Apprehending arrest in the FIR captioned above, the petitioner had come up before this Court under Section 438 CrPC seeking anticipatory bail. 2.
In paragraph 9 of the bail petition, the accused declares that they have no criminal antecedents.

Allegations against the petitioner are that he had misrepresented the damage of crop and obtained compensation of Rs.21,600/- in connivance with government officials.
4.
Vide order dated 20.11.2023, this Court had granted interim protection to the petitioner which is continuing till date.

State has filed reply in Court which is taken on record. 6.
State's counsel, on instructions from ASI Sukhwinder Singh, submits that the petitioner has joined the investigation and his custodial interrogation is no more required.
