Seeking a direction to the police authorities to take legal action against respondent no.4-In-charge of Police Post Jorra Chhatran, Gurdaspur and to protect their life and liberties, the petitioners have come up before this Court by filing the present petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India. 2.

At the outset, counsel for the petitioner submits that he would be contended and satisfied if respondent no.3-SSP (Rural), Gurdaspur is directed to decide the representation (Annexure P-3) made before him in a time bound manner. 3.

Notice served upon the official respondent(s) through State's counsel. The nature of order this Court proposes to pass, no response of the official respondent(s) is required. 4.

Without commenting upon the merits of the case, the present petition is disposed of, with a direction to respondent no.3-SSP (Rural), Gurdaspur to decide the representation (Annexure P-3) submitted by the petitioner, either himself/herself or by delegating the same to any officer not below the rank of IPS, by passing a speaking order, within two months, in accordance with law. The order so passed be communicated to the petitioner as well as to their counsel on his email ID as well. Petition is disposed of to the extent mentioned above. The petitioner shall be at liberty to approach this Court against the order so passed, if required. All pending applications, if any, stand disposed of.
