Authorities to process the application for issuance of passport submitted on behalf of petitioner No.2.

At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that, petitioner No.2 through her mother-petitioner No.1, would submit fresh/revised Annexure-C with the Passport Authorities, within a period of one week from today. It is directed that in case, the aforesaid revised Annexure-C is submitted by the petitioner No.2 through her mother - petitioner No.1, then Passport Authorities shall duly consider the same and pass an appropriate order thereon, in accordance with law, before the next date of hearing. List on 16.04.2026 for further proceedings."

Today, learned counsel for respondents No.1 and 2 submits that in pursuance of the aforesaid order dated 19.03.2026, the Regional Passport Officer, Chandigarh, has passed an order dated 16.04.2026, whereby the application submitted by petitioner No.2 (through his mother - petitioner No.1) for issuance of passport has been rejected under Section 5(2)(c) of the Passports Act, 1967.

A copy of the aforesaid order dated 16.04.2026 passed by the Regional Passport Officer, Chandigarh, is handed over by learned counsel for respondents No.1 and 2, in Court today, which is taken on record, subject to all just exceptions. Another copy thereof is also supplied to learned counsel for the petitioners, in Court today itself. 5.

Faced with this situation, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that he may be permitted to withdraw the instant writ petition with liberty to the petitioners to avail their appropriate remedy against the aforesaid order dated 16.04.2026, in accordance with law. 6.

Keeping in view the aforesaid submissions made by learned counsel for the petitioners, the present writ petition is dismissed as

withdrawn with the liberty aforesaid.
