The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of Constitution of India is seeking directions to official respondents to consider his candidature in the category of wards of police personnel. 2.

The petitioner pursuant to advertisement No.1/2016 dated 31.05.2016 applied for the post of Constable in SC(MB) category. The petitioner, at that point of time, did not apply under wards of police personnel category. After declaration of result, the petitioner submitted certificate claiming his candidature under wards of police personnel category.

Learned State counsel, who on advance notice is present in Court, submits that the case of the petitioner is squarely covered by judgment dated 04.05.2023 passed by this Court in CWP No.24332 of 2016 ANJU GOEL 2023.11.20 17:41 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CWP-26088-2023 -22023:PHHC:146954 (Lovepreet Sharma vs. State of Punjab and others) and order dated 04.11.2022 passed by this Court in CWP No.26293 of 2016 (Sukhroop Singh vs. State of Punjab and others).

Learned counsel for the petitioner expressed his inability to controvert the aforesaid judgments.

Indubitably, case of the petitioner is covered by afore-cited judgments. There is no reason to form an opinion contrary to afore-cited judgments.

In the wake of above discussion and findings, this Court is of the considered opinion that the present petition deserves to be dismissed and accordingly dismissed.
