Mr. Vidul Kapoor, Advocate for respondent-Caveator. *** Feeling aggrieved by the order dated 8.9.2022 vide which the defence of respondent tenant had been struck off, respondent tenant Anoop Khanna has approached this Court by way of filing the revision petition, notice of which was given to respondents landlords who has put in appearance through counsel.

Learned counsel appearing for respondent landlord in all fairness has stated that he has no objection if the impugned order is set aside and the revision petitioner is granted an opportunity to file written statement, however, a direction be issued to the Rent Controller to decide the rent petition expeditiously.

Under the circumstances, the impugned order striking off PARVINDER SINGH 2023.02.03 09:34 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

CR No. 6188 of 2022 defence of respondent, who is revision petitioner before this Court is set aside with a direction that the respondent tenant would file written reply to the petition and pay costs imposed by the Court within 15 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order by Rent Controller, Amritsar and no further opportunity for the purpose shall be granted. Further more, the Rent Controller is directed to make earnest efforts to dispose of the Rent Petition expeditiously.
