Through the instant writ of habeas corpus, the petitioner seeks issuance of directions upon the respondents No.2 and 3 to ensure release of his wife/detenu Rashmita, who is detained by respondents No.4 to 7. 2.

Today, both the petitioner and the alleged detenu Rashmita have caused their respective appearance before this Court and both of them have been duly identified by A.S.I. Parminder Singh, who is also present in Court.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that since the alleged detenu has joined the company of the petitioner, who is allegedly her husband, therefore, the grievance of the petitioner does not survive any longer. 4.

In view of the view, the instant petition is dismissed, as having been rendered infructuous.
