1. The petitioner has preferred this petition for initiating contempt proceedings against the Assistant Collector 1st Grade, Dharamkot, District Moga for not complying with the order passed on 01.02.2023 and not deciding the case within six months.
2. Contempt proceedings for implementation of order of the Financial Commissioner, with regard to observations for disposing the case within six months in accordance with law, is not to be treated as a mandatory order but a directory order as held by the Supreme Court since limitations laid down for deciding cases are directory. Therefore, contempt petition would not lie.
3. Dismissed.
