(Oral) By way of present petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, petitioners seek quashing of FIR (Annexure P-1) and all consequential proceedings arising therefrom on the basis of compromise/settlement dated 23.09.2023 (Annexure P-2) executed between the parties. Details of the FIR are as follows:

Dated Sections Police Station 12.07.2023 447, 511, 379 IPC (420, 465, 466, 471 and 120-B IPC added later on) Cantt Bathinda, District Bathinda 2.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of respondent No.2 has categorically stated that the compromise (Annexure P-2) was only for the purpose of bail and it has been specifically stated therein that the first party i.e.respondent No.2 has agreed not to oppose the bail of the present petitioner before the competent Court and the petitioner has since been granted the concession of bail. He categorically submits that there is no compromise between the parties qua the SANDAL SHARMA 2023.11.20 17:31 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment

Faced with this situation, learned counsel for the petitioners seeks withdrawal of the petition with liberty to file the same afresh with better particulars, if so required in future.
