The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondents to re-issue her passport.

Learned counsel for the petitioner inter alia contends that passport issued to the petitioner was valid till 08.07.2023. In the passport, date of birth of the petitioner is recorded as 10.06.1958 whereas her correct date of birth is 13.12.1956.

Learned counsel for Union of India submits that the petitioner may be directed to appear before passport authority alongwith requisite documents. The passport authority would look into grievance of the petitioner and pass an appropriate order, in accordance with law, within six weeks thereafter.
