The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of Constitution of India is seeking setting aside of order dated 14.01.2020 (Annexure P-3) and 25.09.2023 (Annexure P-7) whereby his claim qua salary and other allowances has been rejected by adjudicating as well as Appellate Authority.

Learned counsel for the petitioner, at the outset, submits that he confines his prayer qua seniority and promotion. 3.

Learned counsel for the respondents, who on advance notice is present in Court, submits that the petitioner was initially claiming salary and other financial benefits for the period from 14.02.2017 to 16.05.2019 i.e. period during which he was in judicial custody on account of death of his wife in mysterious circumstances.
