***** GURVINDER SINGH GILL, J.(Oral) The petitioner has approached this Court seeking issuance of a direction for his release on emergency parole for 42 days in order to take care of his mother.

Reply by way of affidavit of Sh. Satpal Sharma, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub-Division Sangrur has been filed by learned State counsel today in Court, which is taken on record. The learned counsel representing U.T., Chandigarh, upon instructions from Jaswinder Singh, Warder, Model Jail, Chandigarh, has informed that the authorities have already sanctioned parole for 42 days to PANKAJ KAKKAR 2020.01.07 10:32 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

( 2 ) CRWP-1729-2019 (O&M) the petitioner vide order dated 3.1.2020, a copy whereof has been furnished by learned State counsel today in Court. The same is taken on record. Faced with the aforesaid position, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he may be permitted to withdraw the present petition. In view of the aforesaid submission, the present petition is dismissed as withdrawn.
