(ORAL) This petition has been filed by the petitioners under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondents No. 2 and 3 to protect their life and liberty from the hands of respondents No. 4 to 9.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that both the petitioners want to marry each other after attaining the marriageable age but the family members of petitioner No. 1 are against their relationship. He further submits that both the petitioners have been living together in live-in relationship and facing threat from the family members of petitioner No. 1 and in this regard, they have also moved a representation dated 3.12.2019 (Annexure P-2) to Senior Superintendent of Police, Patialarespondent No. 2. Without commenting upon the marital status or live-in relationship of the petitioners, I dispose of the petition with directions to GURPREET SINGH 2019.12.07 10:17 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document chandigarh
