DEEPAK MANCHANDA, J.(ORAL) This petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for issuance of directions to release the fire arm, i.e. .315 bore weapon having licence No.DM/GSP/DUP-GSDR/0519/36, and the Licence issued and renewed from time to time and valid upto 5.12.2025. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the said weapon was taken in custody due to registration of FIR No.82 dated 24.11.2015, under Section 447, 511, 427, 506, 336, 148, 149 IPC and Section 25, 27, 54, 59 Arms Act, Police Station Sadar Gurdaspur, which has already been quashed vide order dated 12.9.2017 (Annexure P-1) passed by this Court and, but the said firearm weapon has not been released even after a gap of 5 years from the date of quashing of the FIR and the petitioner's limited prayer is for release of his firearm and its Licence only.
