Seeking grant of parole for eight weeks to take care of her children and ailing husband, the petitioner has come up before this Court under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India.

Reply by way of short affidavit of Jaspal Singh Khaira, Superintendent Women Jail, Ludhiana on behalf of respondents No. 2 and 5 has been filed in Court today and the same is taken on record. Referring to reply, State counsel submitted that a communication from the police of Bihar has been received whereby they sought release of petitioner under strict security.

Counsel for the petitioner submits that the respondent is not considering her case and lingering on the matter on one pretext or the other and there is no averment in the letter received from the authority of Bihar, why petitioner's release should be under security.

State counsel further submits that now the Government of Punjab has issued a new circular No. 15 of 2024 and they are ready to consider the case of the petitioner in view of the circular and for that purpose some time be given. 5.
Given above, the State is directed to consider the case of the petitioner for temporarily release for a period of eight weeks within one month in view of the circular No. 15 of 2024 and the order so passed be communicated to the petitioner and her family without any delay to enable them to take legal remedy in accordance with law, in case any adverse order is passed.

Petition stands disposed of in above terms.
