The petitioners seek issuance of directions to respondents No.2 and 3 to protect their lives and liberty as they apprehend threat to the same at the hands of private respondents No.4 to 9.

Mr. R.D. Rattewal, Advocate has put in appearance on behalf of respondents No.4 to 7 and has filed Vakalatnama, which is taken on record. 3.

Short reply by way of affidavit of Shri Jaspreet Singh, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub-Division Phagwara has been filed by learned State counsel, which is taken on record. Para Nos.7 and 8 of the reply read as follows:

"7. That during enquiry of said application petitioner No.1 has suffered statement on 07-02-2023 that she has filed present complaint against Vijay Kumar, Himanshu and Ashok Kumar with respect to threats being given by them, however as PANKAJ KAKKAR 2023.02.14 16:35 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

( 2 ) CRWP-128-2023 (O&M) various other cases are pending litigation between them as such she will abide by the orders of Ld. Court in the cases being going on and she do not want any action on present complaint and same be closed.

That during enquiry petitioner No.1 further stated that with respect to occurrence of present complaint she was medico legally examined vide MLR No.178/GSB/CH/PHG/2022 dated 08.11.2022 however oral compromise has been effected qua said MLR as such she do not want any action on said MLR same be filed."

In view of the aforestated position, the instant petition is disposed of having been rendered infructuous.

However, if the petitioners at a later stage have any apprehension as regards threat to their lives and liberty, it shall be open to them to approach this Court again.
