The trial Court, while giving the detailed reasons, has permitted further cross-examination of DW.4 Smt.Sudesh Rani after finding that certain important questions have not been put to the witness and her statement in examination-in-chief was at variance from what she stated in the cross-examination.

The trial court, in exercise of its discretionary jurisdiction, has permitted further cross-examination of the witness. The learned counsel representing the petitioner has failed to draw the attention of the Court to any prejudice caused to the petitioner.
