( ORAL) Present petition has been filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of directions to respondents No.2 and 3 to protect life and liberty of the petitioner at the hands of respondents No.4 to 9, who are threatening the petitioner to withdraw the case and handover the children to them.

Learned counsel for the petitioner inter alia contends that a representation dated 07.11.2023 (Annexure P-1) was given to Senior Superintendent of Police, Mansa raising the submissions that the petitioner had filed a case for maintenance before the Court at Mansa but the private respondents are threatening the petitioner and her family members to withdraw the said case. He submits that they are also threatening the petitioner to handover the children to them. He further submits that despite the fact that representation was forwarded on 07.11.2023, no action has been taken on the said representation till date. 3.

Notice of motion.

Learned State counsel on instructions from Investigating Officer submits that the enquiry on the said representation is being conducted by Head Constable Sukhwinder Singh and assures that the enquiry will be completed within one month and the said representation will be disposed of accordingly. 6.

In view of the said assurance given by the learned State counsel, the present petition stands disposed of.

However, learned State counsel shall remain bound by the aforesaid undertaking.
