Counsel for the respondents states that the petitioner has deposited an amount of Rs.50,000/- against the impugned demand notice dated 01.08.2025, Annexure P-1, although, it has pleaded that an amount of Rs.1,00,000/- has been paid. He further states that despite grant of opportunity by this Court, petitioner has neither deposited any additional amount, nor has he furnished the affidavit.

I have heard counsel for the parties.

Petitioner has laid challenge to bill-cum-show cause notice, Annexure P-1, issued under Regulation 37 of the Supply Code - 2014, and Section 135 of the Electricity Act, 2003, whereby charges have been levelled as petitioner was found indulging in theft of the electricity. Petitioner has an alternate remedy of approaching the Special Court established under Section 153 of the Electricity Act.

In view thereof, no relief can be granted to the petitioner. 5.

Petition is not maintainable and is dismissed as such. 6.
