The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of Constitution of India is seeking setting aside of order dated 30.07.2021 (Annexure P-2) whereby he has been denied the promotion to the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police with effect from the date of promotion of his junior.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that case of the petitioner is squarely covered by order dated 24.05.2023 passed by this Court in CWP No.24740 of 2022 titled as "Pritpal Singh vs. State of Punjab and another".

Learned State counsel submits that representation of the petitioner would be decided within 04 weeks from today and competent authority while disposing of representation of the petitioner would take care of the aforesaid order.

In the wake of statement of both sides, the petition stands disposed of.
