Considering the issue involved in the present case, we deem it appropriate to dispose of this writ petition, with direction to the respondents to decide the rectification application pending before them as soon as possible, preferably within a period of one month henceforth. 6.

After the order of the rectification application is communicated to the petitioner, he would be free to file an appeal if the order is adverse to him.
