MANJARI NEHRU KAUL , J. (ORAL) Prayer in the instant petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is for issuance of directions to the official respondents, to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of respondents No.3 and 4.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are being unnecessarily harassed by respondents No.3 and 4 in collusion with the petitioners' earlier employer with whom they have some salary dispute. Learned counsel submits that in the said regard, a representation has also been given to respondent No.2-Commissioner of Police, Police Commissionerate, Ludhiana, on 24.10.2024 (Annexure P-2), however, in vain.

After arguing for some time, learned counsel submits that the petitioners would be satisfied if respondent No.2-Commissioner of Police, Police Commissionerate, Ludhiana, can be directed to look their representation and protect their life and liberty at the hands of PUNEET SACHDEVA 2024.10.29 13:30 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh

CRWP- 10536 -202 -2respondents No.3 and 4, who are continuously subjecting them to harassment and threats of dire consequences.

On asking of the Court, Mr. Navdeep Singh, Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the official respondents.

In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of with a directions to respondent No.2-Commissioner of Police, Police Commissionerate, Ludhiana, to look into the representation dated 24.10.2024 (Annexures P-2) qua the alleged threat perception and take appropriate steps, if any required, under the provisions of law, to ensure that the life and liberty of the petitioners is not jeopardized.
