Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the claim raised in the present petition has already been answered by this Court in CWP No.32598 of 2019 titled as 'Gurdev Singh and others vs. State of Punjab and another', decided on 16.03.2022.

Learned counsel for the petitioners further submits that the judgment of this Court passed in Gurdev Singh's case (supra) has already been upheld by the Hon'ble Division Bench of this Court as the appeal filed by the State has already been dismissed, hence, the present petition be also disposed of in the same terms.

Learned counsel for the respondents has not been able to dispute the statement made by learned counsel for the petitioners recorded herein above.
