In compliance of order dated 23.11.2023, status report by way of affidavit of Gurinderpal Singh, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Attari, Amritsar Rural has been filed by learned State counsel on behalf of respondent-State in Court today, which is taken on record, subject to all just exceptions. Copy thereof has been supplied to the learned counsel for the petitioner.

After going through the same, learned counsel for the petitioner fairly submits that the petitioner shall surrender on or before 16.12.2023 before the trial Court and shall file his fresh bail application and his only prayer is that his bail application be decided expeditiously. 3.

Accordingly, the present petition stands disposed of. The petitioner is directed to surrender before the trial Court on or before 16.12.2023 and in case, he applies for concession of regular bail, the same be decided expeditiously and preferably within seven working days. 4.

It is made clear that the bail of the petitioner shall be decided in accordance with law on its own merits.
