*** ARUN MONGA, J. (ORAL) Petition herein,inter alia, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner for promotion to the post of Deputy Director/District Education Officer from the date when respondent No.3 was promoted with all other consequential benefits.

Learned State counsel, at the outset, submits that claim of the petitioner qua his promotion has already been accepted on the administrative side during pendency of the writ proceedings and, therefore, no proceedings before this Court are warranted. However, the learned counsel for the petitioner is unable to confirm the same. In view of the aforesaid, petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to revive the same in case, he has not been accorded the promotion as above.
