The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondents to allot paddy as per Custom Milling Police for KMS 2023-24.

Learned counsel for the petitioner inter alia contends that as per installed capacity, the petitioner is entitled to 3500 MT paddy and on account of Centre cut, he is entitled to 2200 MT whereas he has been allotted 1400 MT paddy. Sufficient stock is available still the petitioner has not been allotted either free paddy or RO paddy. 3.

Learned State counsel, who on advance notice is present in Court, submits that case of the petitioner would be sympathetically considered and competent authority would pass order within two weeks from today, in accordance with the policy.
