The instant petition under Section 482 of BNSS, 2023, has been filed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.2621 dated 28.08.2025, registered under Sections 135 and 151 of Indian Electricity Act, at Police Station HSEnB, District Faridabad.

Learned counsel for the petitioner contended that the petitioner is ready to deposit 50% of the total assessment made by the electricity department till 29.09.2025 with a bona fide without admitting the fact of electricity theft and requested for relief of interim anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

CRM-M-52902-2025 (O&M) ( 2 ) notice on behalf of the respondent-State. He has no objection regarding grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner, if he is ready to deposit 50% of the assessment made by the electricity department. 5.

Heard.

Keeping in view the contentions raised by learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned State counsel, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the petitioner that he will deposit 50% of the total assessment i.e. Rs.63,723/- made by the electricity department till 29.09.2025. Till then, the petitioner will not be arrested by the police in this case. On deposit of aforesaid amount, he is directed to join investigation as and when required by the Investigating Officer and in the event of his arrest, he will be released on interim bail till filing of final report. 7.

In case, the petitioner fails to deposit 50% of the total assessment made by the electricity department, then the relief granted by this Court deems to be withdrawn.
