(Oral) Petitioner No.1-Rajni Bala aged about 16 years and petitioner No.2-Shubham aged about 20 years both of whom are in a 'live-in' relationship, have approached this Court seeking issuance of a direction to official respondents to protect their lives and liberty as they apprehend threat to the same at the hands of respondent Nos.4 to 7, who do not approve of their 'live-in' relationship.

Vide order dated 09.1.2023, this Court had directed that petitoner No.1-Rajni Bala, who is a minor be lodged in Aashiana (Children Home), Sector 15, Chandigarh and thereafter be produced before Child Welfare Committee at Yamuna Nagar on 10.1.2023. CRM-M-12368-2022 (O&M) - 2 - Learned State counsel has today furnished a copy of order dated 17.1.2023 passed by Child Welfare Committee at Yamuna Nagar, wherein the custody of petitioner No.1 has been handed over to her parents. Faced with the aforestated position, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that he may be permitted to withdraw the instant petition with liberty to have recourse to all other alternate efficacious remedies as may be available to the petitioners for redressal of their grievances.
