The petitioner has approached this Court seeking grant of anticipatory bail in respect of a case registered vide FIR No.87 dated 18.4.2019 at Police Station City Kapurthala, District Kapurthala under Sections 323, 324, 307, 295, 148 and 149 of Indian Penal Code.

The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that it is a case of crossversion wherein the FIR and the cross-version came to be lodged due to some misunderstanding, which has now been resolved and the parties have compromised the matter and a petition for quashing of FIR on grounds of compromise has also been filed, which is infact fixed before this Court today itself at serial No.274.

The learned State counsel, while feigning ignorance about the compromise, has informed that pursuant to interim directions, the petitioner has already joined investigation.

Having regard to the aforestated position especially that the parties are stated to have compromised the matter, the petition is accepted and the interim directions issued by this Court vide order dated 12.12.2019 are hereby made absolute subject to the condition that the petitioner shall join investigation as and when called upon to do so and cooperate with the Investigating Officer and shall also abide by the conditions as provided under Section 438 (2) Cr.P.C.
