The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondents to issue her passport.

Learned counsel for the petitioner inter alia contends that petitioner filed application dated 01.08.2023 seeking passport. The respondent has kept the matter in abeyance as petitioner has failed to furnish consent of her father. The petitioner is a 10 years old child and she is staying with her mother for last three years and she has filed petition under Section 125 Cr.P.C. seeking maintenance from her father. 3.

Learned counsel for Union of India, who on advance notice is present in Court, submits that petitioner may be directed to appear before passport authority alongwith her mother and requisite documents. Learned counsel for the petitioner agrees to the aforesaid arrangement.

In the wake of statements of both sides, the petition stands disposed of. The petitioner alongwith her mother and requisite documents is directed to appear before passport authority on 14.12.2023.
