***** SANJIV BERRY. J. (Oral) The present petition under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India has been preferred by the petitioners seeking directions to respondent Nos.1 to 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of respondent Nos.4 to 6.

Learned State counsel on instructions from Head Constable Pritpal Singh, Belt No.1515/Ferozepur, has submitted that the petitioners have got recorded their statement before ASI Milakh Raj, specifying therein that they do not have any apprehension of threat to their life and liberty. Copy of the statement has been supplied to the learned counsel for the petitioners. Faced with this situation, learned counsel of the petitioners prays for withdrawal of the present petition at this stage. In view of the statement, petition stands dismissed as withdrawn at this stage.
