Mr. Mohit Kapoor, Additional Advocate General, Punjab. MANJARI NEHRU KAUL, J. (ORAL) The petitioner is seeking issuance of directions to respondents No.2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner and her family from respondent No.9.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner apprehends threats at the hands of respondent No.9, who is lodged in jail. He submits that despite various representations having been given, the official respondents are sitting over the matter and have not come to her rescue. He submits that he will be satisfied if the authorities concerned are directed to look into the alleged threat perception and take appropriate steps in accordance with law. 3.

In view of the restricted prayer of the learned counsel for the petitioner, the instant petition is disposed of with directions to respondent No.3-Senior Superintendent of Police, Hoshiarpur, to look into the representation dated 20.10.2023 (Annexure P-4) of the petitioner and take appropriate steps, if required, in accordance with law.
