On 25.09.2025, the following order was passed by this Court:- "1.
The petitioners through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India are seeking setting aside of letter dated 07.08.2025 whereby respondent has sought particulars of their juniors for further promotion to the rank of Sub-Inspector. 2.
The petitioners are claiming that they are seniors to private respondents. As per seniority list, their number is higher to private respondents. They are working as Assistant Sub-Inspectors with District Police. They opted for seniority as ASI with District Police. They were given fresh service number with District Police in December' 2019. CWP No. 28800 of 2025 -2respondent has sought details of private respondents for further promotion as Sub-Inspectors though petitioners are seniors.
