The present revision petition has been filed against the judgment and order of sentence dated 02.01.2017, passed by the learned Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Dhuri, in Complaint No.276 of 2014, under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, titled The Dhuri Primary Cooperative Agri. Dev. Bank Ltd., Dhuri v. Gurpreet Singh, whereby the complaint was allowed and the petitioner was convicted and sentenced to undergo Rigorous Imprisonment for a period of one year along with a fine of Rs.5,000/-. The impugned judgment dated 20.09.2018, passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Sangrur, affirming the aforesaid judgment and order of sentence dated 02.01.2017, has also been challenged in the present revision petition.

Learned counsel appearing for respondent No.1 submits that during the pendency of the present revision petition, the petitioner - Gurpreet JAWALA RAM 2025.08.28 20:15 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

CRR-3951-2018 - 2 - Singh, has expired. It is further submitted that the accounts were settled about four years ago, i.e., in 2021, as the amount in dispute was repaid to respondent No.1 - Bank.

In view of the above, learned counsel prays that the present revision petition may be disposed of as having abated. 3.

Ordered accordingly.
