*** ANUPINDER SINGH GREWAL , J.(Oral) The petitioner is seeking a direction to the respondents to consider and grant/issue new license in the name and style of 'M/s Daljit Singh & Sons' pursuant to the application for the grant of license under Section 10 of Punjab State Agricultural Market Board Act, 1961.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners had applied for issuance of a new license under Section 10 of Punjab State Agricultural Market Board Act, 1961. Earlier the license was in the name of petitioner No.2, but he could not carry on the business, which has been taken over by the son, who is now the proprietor of petitioner No.1. There is a dispute with regard to the possession of the shop, which remains with the petitioners. CWP-28011-2025 injunction, but the application under Order 39 Rules 1 and 2 CPC had been dismissed. He further submits that the license had been issued to respondent No.3, but he is not in possession of the shop, which is in possession of the petitioners. He also submits that the petitioners have sent a legal notice in this regard to respondents No.1 and 2. He therefore, submits that petition be disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to consider and decide the legal notice in a time bound manner.

At the asking of the Court, Ms. Arundhati Kulshreshtha, AAG, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent Nos.1 and 2. 5.

In view of the above, the petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to consider and decide the legal notice of the petitioners dated 17.06.2025 (Annexure P-11) in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to petitioners and respondent No.3.
