Apprehending threat to life and liberty at the hands of private respondents, petitioner who is the brother of late Gurinder Singh (husband and father, respectively of respondents No.5 and 6), has filed the present petition praying therein to issue appropriate directions to the official respondents to take legal action against the private respondents. 2.

Learned counsel submits that petitioner's brother, namely Gurinder Singh, had got married with respondent No.5 in 1998. Couple were blessed with 2 children, a daughter, who has been impleaded as respondent No.6 and a son presently aged about 18 years. The aforesaid Gurinder Singh, during his lifetime, had transferred the property owned by him in favour of his son namely Birkaran Singh. Apprehension of petitioner is that respondents No.5 and 6 want to sell the ancestral land. When petitioner restrained them (respondents No.5 and 6), threats were issued to him. In this context, he (P) filed a representation dated 16.09.2025 (Annexure P-7) before the official respondents, who did not pay any heed. In view of the request made by learned counsel for the petitioner and the averments made in the petition, without commenting on the merits thereof, the present petition is disposed of with direction to the official respondents to dispose of the representation dated 16.09.2025, (Annexure P-7), within a period of 4 weeks, from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
