*** MANOJ BAJAJ, J.

Through this petition, filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C., the petitioners have prayed for quashing of FIR No.67 dated 23.07.2017 under Sections 323, 324, 341, 506 IPC and Section 307 IPC (added later on), registered at Police Station Banur, District Patiala (Annexure P-1) and the proceedings arising therefrom, on the basis of the compromise (Annexure P2) dated 23.07.2018 entered into between the parties. In the present petition, the solitary reliance is placed upon the compromise dated 23.07.2018 (Aannexure P-2) for quashing of FIR (Annexure P-1). Since the offence under Section 307 IPC is serious and compromise in such cases is not acceptable, therefore, no ground is made out for quashing of the FIR as well as all the subsequent proceedings arising therefrom. It is also not disputed that charges have been framed. Dismissed.
