The prayer in the present petition is for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari/mandamus, for quashing the action of the respondents to the extent, whereby, while considering and granting promotions on the posts of Deputy Directors Agriculture/Chief Agriculture Officers vide order dated 30.10.2023 (Annexure P-6).

Learned counsel submits that the entire service record of the petitioner was produced before the DPC in its Meeting held on 25.10.2023, he being eligible for promotion to the post of Agriculture Officer/Deputy Director, but was not considered in wake of there being no seniority list of the handicapped category, to which he belonged. The same has now been finalized vide order dated 01.02.2024, Annexure P-13. He submits that a direction be given for deciding the claim of the petitioner in a time bound manner. 3.

Learned State counsel has no objection to the limited prayer made. 4.
