(ORAL) Prayer in the instant petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been made for quashing FIR No. 289 dated 29.10.2019 (Annexure P-1) registered under Sections 323, 324, 289 and 120-B IPC read with Section 34 IPC at Police Station Sadar, Amritsar and all subsequent proceedings arising therefrom, on the basis of compromise dated 03.12.2019 (Annexure P-2) effected in between the parties. Pursuant to orders dated 13.12.2019 of this Court, the parties appeared before the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Amritsar, on 20.12.2019 to get their statements recorded. Learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Amritsar, submitted his report vide letter No. 13 dated 06.01.2020, duly forwarded by the learned District and Sessions Judge, Amritsar, vide Endst. CRM-M-53377-2019 -2According to the report, learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Amritsar, is satisfied that compromise effected between the parties is genuine and valid.

In compliance of order dated 19.02.2020, photocopies of receipts regarding deposit of costs of `20,000/- duly attested by learned counsel for the petitioners have also been produced in Court today. The same are taken on record. Be tagged at appropriate place. Considering the report of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Amritsar, dated 06.01.2020 and deposit of costs as well as the fact that the compromise will bring peace and harmony between the parties, aforesaid FIR No. 289 dated 29.10.2019 (Annexure P-1) and all subsequent proceedings arising therefrom, are quashed, qua the petitioners only.

Registry is directed to verify deposit of aforesaid costs, with the concerned quarter.
