RAMENDRA JAIN, J. (ORAL) Prayer in the instant petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been made for quashing FIR No. 78 dated 27.05.2017 (Annexure P-1) registered under Sections 324, 323, 148 and 149 IPC (Section 326 IPC added later on) at Police Station Makhu, District Ferozepur and all subsequent proceedings arising therefrom, on the basis of compromise (Annexure P-3) effected in between the parties. Pursuant to orders dated 18.12.2019 of this Court, the parties appeared before the Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Zira on 22.01.2020, got recorded their consolidated statements qua compromise. Learned Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Zira, submitted his consolidated report vide letter No. 77 dated 15.02.2020, duly forwarded by the learned District and Sessions Judge, Ferozepur, vide letter No. RISHU KATARIA 2020.06.22 17:46 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

According to the report, learned Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Zira, is satisfied that compromise effected between the parties is voluntarily, with free consent and without any coercion undue influence or fear.

In compliance of order dated 26.02.2020, receipts duly attested by learned counsel for the petitioners regarding deposit of costs of `20,000/- have also been produced in Court today. The same are taken on record. Be tagged at appropriate place. Considering the report of Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Zira dated 15.02.2020 and deposit of costs as well as the fact that the compromise will bring peace and harmony between the parties, aforesaid FIR No. 78 dated 27.05.2017 (Annexure P-1) and all subsequent proceedings arising therefrom, are quashed, qua the petitioners only. Registry is directed to verify deposit of aforesaid costs, with the concerned quarter.
