By means of this petition, the petitioner has prayed for issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing respondent Nos.1 to 3 to protect his life and liberty at the hands of respondent No.4.

It is the case of the petitioner that respondent No.2, who is a Singer, had entered into an agreement with the petitioner. Said agreement having been dishonored, the petitioner instituted a suit for recovery of Rs.35 lacs as damages.

Learned counsel for the petitioner states that after institution of the suit, the petitioner is receiving constantly threats from some unknown persons at the instance of respondent No.4. In this regard, a representation dated 13.10.2019 (P.2) has already been made to the Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana-respondent No.3 but no action thereon has been taken so far.

Without commenting upon the merits of the case or opining on the veracity of the allegations contained in the representation, this petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3 to look into the grievance of the petitioner, as raised by him in the application (P.2) and take appropriate action, in accordance with law.
