Having heard learned counsel for the petitioners, but without commenting anything as regards merits of the case or as regards veracity of averments made in the petition, the instant petition is disposed off with a direction to respondent No.2 - Commissioner of Police, Amritsar to look into the matter and to get the representation dated 30.10.2024 (Annexure P-6) examined to the limited extent of alleged threat perception of the petitioners. In case, it is found that there is any gunine threat to the life and liberty of the petitioners, then necessary steps as may be warranted under law be taken thereupon at the earliest so as to ensure that no harm is caused to the petitioners in any manner.

Since in the representation dated 30.10.2024 (Annexure P-6) the petitioners have specifically alleged that respondent No.4 - Ajaypal Singh has been issuing threats by using phone Nos.0183-3503859 and 76961-43748 while in jail, the said assersion be got specifically examined.
