Petition herein is, inter alia, seeking a writ in the nature of Mandamus, directing the respondents to re-issue the passport of the petitioner with his corrected date of birth i.e. 13.05.1962 instead of 01.03.1959.

Learned counsel for respondents, very fairly submits that the application for re-issuance of the passport submitted by the petitioner is pending consideration before the respondent No.2 - Regional Passport Officer, Jalandhar, Punjab and the same would be considered in the light of the observations made by this Court in CWP No.10188-2025 titled as "Ajay Bhola Vs. Union of India and others" (decided on 12.12.2025), and a final order shall be passed thereon, within a period of 8 weeks from today.
