SURINDER GUPTA, J.(Oral) Heard.
Learned counsel for petitioners submits that petitioners have filed this petition seeking protection of their lives and liberty. They are major and have married against the wishes of respondents No.4 to 10, who are parents and other relatives of petitioner No. 1. Apprehending danger to their lives and liberty, petitioners sent a representation dated 09.12.2019 (Annexure P-5) to Senior Superintendent of Police, Police District Khanna. He confines the relief claimed in this petition for direction to respondent No.2 to look into the representation of petitioners and take appropriate action in accordance with law.
In view of above submission of learned counsel for petitioners, this petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Police District Khanna, to look into the apprehension of petitioners, verify the same and take appropriate action as required, on receipt of copy of this order along with representation in his office.
However, it is made clear that this order will have no effect on the validity of alleged marriage of the petitioners or on any other civil or criminal proceedings instituted against them. (SURINDER GUPTA) December 12, 2019 JUDGE Sachin M.
