-RESPONDENTS
CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE KULDEEP TIWARI
Present:
Mr. Anurag Goyal, Sr. Advocate, with Mr. Nikhil Lather, Advocate for the petitioner.
Mr. Sahil R. Bakshi, A.A.G., Punjab.
Mr. Jatinder Singh Gill, Advocate for the respondent No.4.

*** KULDEEP TIWARI, J. (ORAL) 1.
On the previous date of hearing, i.e. 13.01.2026, this Court had passed the following order:- "At the outset, learned Senior counsel for respondent No.6, submits that since the petitioner, as well as the private respondents have already attained the age of superannuation, and therefore, nothing survives for adjudication in the instant lis. Likewise, learned State counsel has also raised an objection on the maintainability of the instant writ petition on account of non-joinder of the necessary party, as the Department of Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes, has not been arrayed as respondent.
Be that as it may, since an adjournment slip has been circulated on behalf of learned counsel for the petitioner, the matter is adjourned to 27.01.2026.
DEVINDER YADAV 2026.01.28 09:46 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment
CWP-28009-2018 (O&M) To be shown in the urgent list.
It is made clear that, on the subsequent date of hearing, no request for adjournment would be entertained on behalf of either side."
2.
Learned senior counsel appearing for the petitioner does not dispute that the petitioner and the private respondents have retired upon attaining the age of superannuation and, as such, no effective grievance now survives. It is accordingly submitted that the petitioner does not wish to press the present writ petition at this stage. However, a prayer is made that liberty be reserved to the petitioner to move an appropriate application for revival of the present writ petition, if any grievance still subsist or arises in future on the same cause of action. 3.
Consequently, the present writ petition is dismissed, as not pressed, with liberty (supra).
4.
Pending application(s) stand disposed of accordingly. (KULDEEP TIWARI) January 27, 2026 JUDGE devinder Whether speaking/reasoned :
