Petitioner seeks a direction to respondent No.2 to decide his representation dated 14.11.2019 (Annexure P2), especially for the constitution of a Special Investigation Team to look into the alleged illegal acts of smuggling of liquor from the State of Haryana to other States. It is submitted that on an earlier occasion, the petitioner had approached this Court with specific instances. The said petitions were disposed of with a direction to the concerned Superintendent of Police to look into the matter and decide the petitioner's representation. However, there are recurrent occurrences of similar nature in the State of Haryana, which require the constitution of a Special Investigation Team to investigate the matter in its entirety. In this respect representation dated 14.11.2019 has been submitted, but no action thereon has been taken. At this stage, learned senior counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner confines its prayer for a decision by the authorities on the said representation.
Keeping in view the facts and circumstances as well as the limited prayer addressed, but without expressing opinion on the merits of the case, this petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to look into the matter, specifically representation dated 14.11.2019 (Annexure P2) and take necessary action as may be/if any required, in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of certified copy of the order.
